Coming from Toggl or Harvest? Bring the history with you.

The CSV importer was built for exactly this. It reads a Toggl detailed export, a Harvest report or a generic CSV, works out the format, and creates whatever clients and jobs are missing as it goes.

What it reads

Toggl

Use the detailed export. Track & Bill recognizes the format and maps the columns for you.

Harvest

Export your time report as CSV and import it directly.

Generic CSV

Anything else with dates, clients, hours and notes in columns. The importer detects what it can and maps the rest.

How the import goes

  1. Export a CSV from your old tool

Toggl’s detailed export or Harvest’s time report both work as-is. So does a spreadsheet you have been keeping by hand, as long as it is saved as CSV.

  2. Drop it into the importer

Track & Bill auto-detects the format and maps the columns. You confirm the mapping before anything is written.

  3. Missing clients and jobs get created

You do not have to set up your client list first. Any client or job in the file that does not exist yet is created as part of the import.

  4. It imports in batches, and survives a stumble

Records go in batched, with partial-import recovery — if something goes wrong part-way you are not left guessing what landed and what did not.

What you get once you are across

The things a time tracker usually hands back to you are part of the product here: an invoice wizard that pre-selects every unbilled entry, purchase order tracking with a live over-budget warning, a retainer ledger that draws down with one checkbox, and a Pay online button on the invoice pointed at your own Stripe.
